Can she really only be 25? Haggard Heidi Montag celebrates quarter century

Voluptuous: Heidi Montag looked considerably curvier at her birthday party held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas last night

How apt that plastic surgery queen Heidi Montag should hold her birthday party in a club called Vanity.

The then dewy-faced star of The Hills famously altered her appearance by having ten plastic surgery procedures on the same day, back in 2007.

At the time there was almost unanimous agreement that the procedures were to detriment of the star's looks, and the last four years seem to have exacerbated Heidi's problems.

Old before their time: Pratt and Spencer looked aged beyond their young years

So much so, in fact, that it's amazing to hear that the blonde celebrated reaching just 25 on Thursday.

These pictures of her celebrating the milestone with husband Spencer Pratt, himself just 28, a day later in Vegas, suggest a very different era of life.

Not a pretty sight: Montag got stuck into her birthday celebrations with gusto

Looking the worse the wear, Heidi looks tipsy and much older in the skintight gold dress she donned.

Her tiny arms look incongruous against her bigger trunk, and suggest bloating as much as weight gain.

It's a typical side-effect of over indulging with alcohol, and considering the way Heidi seemed to be putting away champagne - at least stuffed with healthy strawberries - not something she will escape soon.

The young blonde also seemed to have dark circles under eyes, and in a brief respite from carousing with Pratt to hold her cake, looked sad and contemplative.

Party girl: Heidi seemed to be enjoying all the attention

Sweating Pratt didn't look any better.

The couple were hosting at the club in the Hard Rock Hotel ostenisbly for Heidi, and tickets for the event ranged from $20 to $40.

These days, after faking a split and divorce, the couple claim to be broke living in a beach house.

Montag regrets her plastic surgery.

In December 2010, ahe appeared on the cover of Life & Style magazine, revealing scars and marks caused from her surgeries.

In the magazine interview, Montag says: 'Parts of my body definitely look worse than they did presurgery. This is not what I signed up for.'

She adds, 'I definitely think I should have been way more informed. I think that doctors should really walk you through all aspects of it, not just the glamorous side of it.

Doctors, it's like they're selling you cookies or something.

I would love to not be 'plastic girl' or whatever they call me.

Surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world.

I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead, I'm always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.'
