Howdy, y'all! Cheryl Cole salutes the waiting fans and cameras as she arrives at the X Factor studios ahead of tonight's live show
She may be neck-and-neck in the X Factor fashion war with her fellow judge Dannii Minogue.
But away from the glare of the studio spotlight, Cheryl Cole is earning herself lots of points before she's even stepped into make-up.
The pop star arrived at the X Factor studios this afternoon ahead of tonight's live show sporting cowgirl chic as she stepped out of the car.
She had managed to mix the perfect blend of casual and glamour in low-slung dark blue jeans and a white vest and cutaway red top, which showed off her enviable midriff.
She had casually flung a black and white floral scarf round her neck, and teamed her look with a cream trilby hat which had a feather stuck in the black band.
And a girl who is never without her trusted pair of towering heels, she tottered out of her car in brown and black animal-skin shoe boots.
Nice to see you! Cheryl enthusiastically waves and laughs out loud as she heads into the studio
Despite the controversy that has surrounded Cheryl and her acts over the past week, she looked bright-eyed and eager to get going as she pulled into the Fountain Studios.
Fans were up in arms after last Sunday's results show in which the Girls Aloud star, 27, refused to vote after her acts Katie Waissel and Treyc Cohen were the bottom two acts.
Treyc was sent home after Simon and Louis both voted for Katie, but fans reacted angrily to the decision, with some calling for Cheryl to be sacked from her £1.7million job as judge.
Overexcited: A bright-eyed and grinning Cheryl looked raring to go
Then reports this week claimed that the vote had been rehearsed and TV sources also said Treyc had received three times more votes than Katie.
There were even more bad headlines for Cheryl today when it was revealed that she and Katie have fallen out over her choice of song for tonight.
All contestants will be singing Elton John songs this evening and with a double eviction tomorrow night, they'll be hoping it'll be enough to stay in the competition for another week at least.
Peek-a-boo: Cheryl tentatively peers out of her car and checks out the crowds before she steps out
