Wax lyrical: Miley Cyrus gets her own waxwork (too bad it looks NOTHING like her!)

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Who's that girl? Miley Cyrus's new waxwork was unveiled at the Museo de Cera in Madrid, Spain earlier today

Miley Cyrus is the latest celebrity to be honoured with her very own wax doppelganger - but perhaps a little more effort should have been made with it.

The 17-year-old's waxwork was unveiled at the Museo de Cera in Madrid, Spain earlier today.

And perhaps it's no surprise that Miley didn't attend the unveiling considering the statue looked nothing like her.

The Disney star was spotted hand in hand with a mystery female friend at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday, sporting a bindi on her forehead while her companion appeared to be channelling Lily Munster with a white stripe in her hair.

The friend was also very scantily clad, in a revealing black tank top that left nothing to the imagination.

Miley was spotted earlier in the day, wearing some good luck charms, heading into a camera store in West Hollywood.

Maybe the singer/actress is hoping to bring about some positivity in her life as things must have been rough for Miley the past week.

It comes soon after it was announced that her parents are divorcing after 17-years of marriage.

Chin up: Miley Cyrus was keeping a brave face in spite of her recent troubles as she headed into a camera store in Studio City yesterday

US Weekly reported that Miley's father, Billy Ray filed for divorce after discovering his wife, 43-year-old Tish had been having an affair with Brett Michaels - something Miley's spokesman denies.

In addition, it appears Miley has split from her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Australian actor Liam Hemswoth for the second time recently.

Spiritual : Miley wore a bindi which people say protects the wearer against demons and bad luck

The bindi is traditionally worn by Hindu females, although it is now also worn by women from other religious denominations as well throughout South Asia and South East Asia.

The area between the eyes where the bindi is placed is said to be the sixth chakra, or ajna, the seat of 'concealed wisdom'.

According to Hindus, this hakra is the exit point for kundalini energy.
The bindi is said to retain energy and strengthen concentration. It is also said to protect against demons and bad luck.

Miley isn't the only western pop star to look for a little spiritual assistance from the good luck charm, Britney Spears and Gwen Stefani have both been seen wearing bindis in the past.

In addition to drawing on Eastern philosophy she was also wearing a large Native American style turquoise necklace.

Turquoise is said by Native Americans to hold special good luck, magic and healing properties.

Hedging her bets: Miley was also wearing a large turquoise necklace which Native Americans believe promotes good luck and positive energy

Some believe that this blue stone is a good luck charm that attracts love, good fortune and wealth. The Tibetans believe that the turquoise is a gift from the gods, while Native American legend tells that it brought together the spirit of the sea and the sky to bless warriors and hunters.

Either way, it seemed something was working for Miley as she was spotted later, minus her bindi but with the necklace still firmly in place, grinning from ear to ear as she headed to lunch in Studio City with a friend.
