Paparazzi magnet Katy Perry comes over all shy as she flies into London ahead of X Factor performance

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Not in the mood: Katy Perry may have been feeling the effects of jet lag as she arrived at London Heathrow yesterday

With her stunning figure, a successful music career and a comedian fiance, Katy Perry is one of the most photographed women on the planet.

But as she touched down in London yesterday after a long-haul flight from Los Angeles, the 25-year-old was far from her usually paparazzi-friendly self.

As she rushed through Heathrow Airport, the California Gurls star attempted to cover her face with a grey scarf after stepping off the 10 hour flight.

Although used to jetting back and forward across the Atlantic, perhaps the singer was feeling a touch of jetlag this time and was looking forward to crashing out on her hotel bed.

But before she could sleep it off, she had to rehearse for her X Factor live performance on Sunday night

Writing on her Twitter page, she said: 'JUST finished rehearsals for SUNDAYS X Factor! I'm so excited to do this song in this way! It's going to be brighter than the moon!'

It will be her second appearance on the show this year after she stepped in to replace Dannii Minogue as a judge when the Australian was on maternity leave earlier this year.

Her flight to London came as she unveiled a new photoshoot to promote the launch of her new fragrance, Purr.

The pop star is pictured crawling around in a latex catsuit, complete with a tail and ears, alongside a huge ball of hot pink yarn for the ad, which was shot by photographer Miles Aldridge.

The shoot was inspired by the cat-shaped fragrance bottle, which features bejewelled eyes and purple colouring.

It is the singer's first fragrance and it is set to be released in November.

Comfy: Katy wasn't quite so shy as she arrived for her flight at Los Angeles LAX airport on Thursday night

Meanwhile there are rumours she is soon set to wed Russell Brand.

The couple are expected wed at the Taj Rambagh Palace, the same romantic hotel where they got engaged on New Year's Eve.

Close friends of the couple, including Rihanna, Jonathan Ross, Noel Gallagher and David Walliams, are expected to make their way to India for the wedding ceremony on Saturday October 23.

'We love each other and we want to get married in front of our friends and family and keep it very normal,' 35-year-old Brand told fans on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old I Kissed a Girl singer and her fiance are expected to travel to Aman-i-Khas, a wilderness camp on the edge of a protected tiger reserve.

Cheers: Sinitta arrived at the ITV studios today with champagne and a card for Katy. The star is set to appear on the X Factor this weekend

The 5-star lodge boasts ten eco-chic tents decked out in beautiful rich fabrics surrounding a central pool, perfect for cooling off in the baking Indian sun.
Tents cost £600 a night and according to hotel sources, the wedding party have booked the entire camp for three days.

From there, sources say the couple will travel 150km to Jaipur, for their wedding ceremony on Saturday at the Taj Rambagh Palace.

The heritage palace was home to Indian royalty and is spread over 47 acres of tranquil, landscaped gardens.

Funny man Brand is expected to ride through the palace gates on a lavishly decorated horse, escorted by camels and elephants.

Folk dancers are expected to welcome the couple with a traditional dance and fireworks.

From here, Brand and Perry will travel in a horse driven cart to the main garden where a Hindu ceremony will be conducted in front of a small fire.

It was in the same gardens that Brand proposed to Perry earlier this year, when they spent 10 days exploring India during a romantic Christmas break.

Brand planned every minute detail for his special moment, even down to what his future wife would wear a £600 traditional Indian dress.

The pair began their engagement night by watching fireworks while sitting on an elephant and were then taken to the Mughal Garden on horseback.

Russell had ordered staff to decorate the garden with hundreds of flowers and candles. He hid the diamond ring among the flowers and when Katy found the ring she immediately said yes.

The pair are expected to spend their wedding night in the same presidential suite they enjoyed on their engagement, which boasts a round bed, sunken Jacuzzi and private terrace.

The presidential suite at the palace is likely to set the couple back a whopping £8,500 per night, while celebrity guests can expect to pay at least £600 a night for a deluxe room.
