Troubled past: Denise is planning on releasing a tell-all autobiography in 2012
She's made a name for herself with her sultry looks and sexy style.
And Denise Richards didn't hesitate to show off her impressive physique in the pool yesterday.
The actress donned a bright blue bikini to frolic in the water with her five-year-old daughter Lola.
Luckily some friendly paparazzi just happened to be in Richards' neighbourhood to capture the moment for prosperity.
The mother of two's body looked absolutely killer - totally toned, with not an inch to pinch.
And, unlike her recent frozen-faced appearance at the 6th Annual Pink Party last month, the 39-year-old looked a little more natural.
The Wild Things star has previously admitted to resorting to plastic surgery to alter her appearance.
In 2009 she told radio shock jock Howard Stern that she had had three surgeries on her breasts.
But Denise refuses to admit having any work done to her face, despite her obviously youthful appearance, lack of lines and wrinkles and limited levels of facial expression.
You'd think that given her past she would have at least a worry line or two - the actress was married to troubled actor Charlie Sheen from 2002 to 2006, and had daughters Sam, 6 and Lola with him.
Richards filed for divorce in April 2006 and shortly afterwards applied for a restraining order claiming she feared for her life after alleged death threats by Sheen.
In her shocking court filing, Richards alleged that Sheen's behaviour had become increasingly erratic, making their marriage impossible, and that she feared for her safety and the safety of their daughters.
Richards claimed that Sheen was physically and verbally abusive and threatened to kill her or have her killed, and that despite having accidentally shot his previous fiancée, Kelly Preston, that he wanted to place firearms under their coffee table to protect them.
In what came as no real surprise given his past behaviour, Richards also alleged that Sheen visited prostitutes and was addicted to gambling, prescription drugs and pornography.
She also alleged that Sheen posted a picture of his private parts on his online profile of a 'sex-search type' website and that he frequently viewed pornography featuring 'very young girls,' and websites 'involving gay pornography also involving very young men who also did not look like adults.'
Loving mum: Denise has daughters Sam, six, and Lola, five, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen
Earlier this year Sheen agreed to sign over full custodial rights of their two daughters to Richards.
As per their divorce settlement the couple had previously enjoyed joint physical custody.
It is thought that Sheen signed over his custodial rights without any fight in a bid to buy Richards' silence should she be called to testify in his recent domestic violence criminal case.
The 45-year-old Two And A Half Men star, who has a history of domestic abuse, found himself in legal hot water yet again after an incident involving Brooke Mueller, his wife of two years and mother of his 18-month-old twin boys,Bob and Max.
A frantic sounding Mueller had called emergency services early last Christmas day alleging Sheen had choked her and threatened to kill her.
The actor was charged with felony menacing, third-degree assault and criminal mischeif.
Sheen subsequently pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault as part of a plea deal hashed out between the Colorado DA's office and Sheen's top notch legal eagle attorney.
Despite facing a potential lengthy stint in jail, Sheen managed to walk away with just 30-days in a rehabilitation centre, 30-days of probation and 36-hours of anger management classes.
Back in the day: Richards endured a four year roller coaster ride of a marriage to troubled actor Charlie Sheen resulting in the couple's two children, Lola and Sam
But let's keep our fingers crossed that the alleged deal struck between Richards and Sheen doesn't completely buy her silence when it comes to her roller coaster marriage to Sheen.
The reality star recently announced that she is writing a tell-all book about her life.
'I wanted to write a heartfelt, honest book that would be a source of hope for others going through difficult times,'she says.
Denise will talk about what it's like to be a single mother in Hollywood, and the ups and downs of her career so far.
The autobiography is due to be released in 2012 through Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
